A wave goodbye

This afternoon I was rushing off, after work, to sort out a problem with the development of a recent film. Having just arrived home, Iain was demanding I give him some attention. I grabbed the car keys, opened the door, and Iain headed straight out the door towards the gate.

When we reached the gate, Iain turned around and waved bye-bye to the house with a big smile as if to say, "I'm going with Daddy!"

We actually made it to the shop just on 17h30. Iain strained against me to get down to play with all the nice goodies ... Jessops and all those camera things. He did get to walk as soon as we left the shop, and literally ran with freedom. The small flight of steps to the left screamed, "Over here, Iain!!"

Grabbing hold of my finger, he climbed down each of the steps. He victoriously let go at the bottom of the steps. What a smile, and how curious is this little boy. We have to keep such a close eye on him all the time; he is quite the adventurer, and wonders outside on his own quite a bit.
